The Branch will treated with a tour of the newly The Mennonite Archives of Ontario collects and preserves archival materials that reflect the religious, cultural and organizational life of Mennonite, Amish and other related groups in Ontario and makes them available to anyone with a legitimate research interest.

4th Annual Genealogy Fair

 

Join The Kitchener Public for the 4th Annual Genealogy Fair on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

 

Beginners and experts alike are invited to Kitchener Public Library’s 4th annual Genealogy Fair. Attend workshops and lectures, speak with experts, browse exhibits, and connect with vendors.

 

Free admission - just simply drop by. There is no registration required.

Lynn Palermo, Family Historian

 

Lynn Palermo is a family historian with a love for the written word. You’ll find her most days blogging from her website The Armchair Genealogist, where she offers readers down-to-earth advice on researching and writing their family history.

 

As a freelance writer, she has written for Internet Genealogy, Discovering Family History and Family Chronicles.  The Armchair Genealogist is named one of the Top 40 Genealogy Blogs by Family Tree Magazine and her posts, on occasion, have been featured on The National Genealogical Society website.  She has been a feature writer for the online genealogy magazine The In-Depth Genealogist.

 

Creator and host of The Family History Writing Challenge, and new Family History Writing Studio, Lynn breaks down the craft of creative nonfiction to help family historians turn their research into compelling stories.  Lynn instructs family historians on how to find their words through webinars, lectures, e-books and coaching.

Recently reread and published is our North Dumfries Township Cemeteries $15.

 

Also new this year is the Bauman/Bowman Family CD which is a preliminary family history of 2917 pages, nearly 8,000 individuals. Its purpose is to share information Waterloo Region Generations have collected on this family and to encourage the correction and enhancement of the information. $20. 

 

This joins other family CDs collection: Bechtel, Bergey, Biehn, Bricker, Eby, Erb, Groh, Hallman, Hoffman, Lichty, Martin, Snyder, Shantz, Wanner and Weber all available for $20 each.
