2849 Roseville Rd., Concession 11 Lot 31,

Hallman Mennonite

On June 1, 1847 Adam Unger deeded a once acre plot on the northwest corner of lot 31, concession 11 in trust to Jacob Detweiler for a meetinghouse and burying ground for use by the members of Mennonite Society of British North America.

In the thiry-ninth volume of the Waterloo Historical Society, 1951, p. 43, Mr. Ira Kinzie states that a brick building was constructed in 1856 across the road from the cemetery which replaced the log building on the same land as the burying ground. Services were conducted there until 1886.
