Freeport Cemetery, Kitchener

 

A low stone fence now defines the front of the cemetery along Riverbend Road.  There are two gate-posts both containing plaques. 

 

Freeport Cemetery sign 1The left one reads:  This stone fence is/in loving memory of/Emma Caroline Anthes/1873-1961/In her nearby cottage/home/"Emmy" lived a life/of helpful warm hearted/Christian service to all/She loved this place but/is buried in Mount Hope /Cemetery/with her parents/Her faith was that all religion relates to life/and the life of religion/is to do good/

 

    The one on the right reads:    Freeport/Cemetery/1808/
